Urinalysis Controls
KOVA-Trol® and KOVA Liqua-Trol® are intended for use in the clinical laboratory as controls for macroscopic and microscopic examination as well as physiochemical and chemical analysis of urine specimens. KOVA-Trol®, a human urine based control with simulated leukocytes, is used as a daily control for the physical, chemical and microscopic examination of the urinalysis laboratory. KOVA-Trol® is available in three levels, High Abnormal (Level I), Low Abnormal (Level II), and Normal (Level III). Liqua-Trol is available in two levels, Normal and Abnormal, with or without microscopics.
BIOCHEMICAL DIAGNOSTICS LIQUID QUALITY CONTROLS
Biochemical Diagnostics (BCD) offers 3rd party external controls for Toxicology and Pregnancy testing, with urine and oral fluid matrixes in a convenient liquid format. Using 3rd party controls will provide an unbiased control to test the methodologies from various manufacturers.
Our Detectabuse® Liquid Urine and Salivabuse® Oral Fluid Controls are toxicology controls specifically formulated to work with Screening, Semi-Quantitative, Single-Use disposable devices and Confirmation methods for the drug constituents listed in the package insert, including Synthetic THC and Nicotine.
For ease of ordering our controls are DEA exempt formulations available to laboratories without a DEA License and cleared by the FDA for commercial distribution (510k).
The Pregnancy-Skreen® liquid urine controls are available for use with all pregnancy test devices on the market, in a convenient 5mL bottle size.

Drugs of Abuse Urine Controls
Biochemical Diagnostics DETECTABUSE® liquid urine controls are designed to monitor the performance of different quantitative or qualitative urinary drug detection methods such as GC/MS, LC/MS, HPLC and/or Immunoassay screening methods. Our human urine matrix mimics patient samples for an accurate external third-party quality control formulated with various drugs to meet the testing requirements of most testing labs. Our controls are available in various dilution levels from Cutoff -60% to 3X Cutoff, for use in hospitals, employee wellness programs, forensic testing and medical device manufacturers production and QA departments.
We carry controls for POC lateral flow rapid device users, Immunoassay analyzers, Confirmation testing and specialty controls such as HCG, Adulterant and AU/NZ SKREEN.
